How to Prepare Vending for a Youth Sports Tournament

A normal Saturday and a tournament Saturday are different operations. When several teams arrive at once, a machine that was stocked on Thursday can run out of water before the championship game. A little planning helps your vending service keep pace.

Start with the event schedule. Share the number of teams, expected spectators, first game, last game, and busiest transition periods with your vending provider. If the facility has multiple entrances, identify the lobby people actually use between games. Those details help determine when to restock and which machine needs the most capacity.

Next, prioritize quick choices. Water, sports drinks, familiar snacks, and a few more substantial options suit players and families who have only minutes before the next game.

A mix of price points helps parents buying for several children. Keep product labels visible and avoid packing the machine with slow sellers simply to make it look full.

Finally, set a point of contact for the weekend. If a reader fails or popular drinks sell out, staff should know whom to call and how to report the machine location.

After the tournament, review what sold and what remained. That record makes the next event easier to plan.

MetroWest Vending works with sports facilities across Central and Eastern Massachusetts to build service around real schedules. If your calendar includes tournaments, share it before the rush.
